Why Sacred Song?

Sacred Song exists to provide churches who desire effective, transformative, God-focused traditional worship with guidance in implementing or improving traditional worship.

God created us to be in communion with Him. This can be accomplished through worship where we interact with God offering Him our adoration and praise and dedicate our lives and all we possess to him. God speaks to us through His word and through the words of the pastor in the sermon and through the act of communion. Our worship is an act before God and as God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, our acts worship must speak of yesterday, today, and forever. Sacred Song helps guide churches in effective ways of traditional worship so that we can be in communion with God.

The secular-based contemporary worship model has reached saturation in our culture.  It is now the norm rather than the exception.  Followers of Christ and seekers are finding the limits of this model and are seeking transformation.  There is an eagerness for something new, and for many, traditional worship IS new.  Many are seeking for worship which connects with the 2,000 year history and heritage of the church rather than the contemporary secular culture.  Numerous congregations and denominations that have retained traditional worship or historical liturgical worship have replaced the Gospel of Christ with another gospel.  Thus those who are faithful to the Gospel and are seeking a community of faith that embraces tradition see examples of traditional worship that is rich in heritage but void of truth and reject the mode.  Sacred Song exists to provide churches who have remained faithful to Christ with the tools to develop or improve traditional worship.
